Manosphere




The Manosphere – a community that propagates archetypal ideals of masculinity – promises young men help. What begins as self-help content can gradually turn into a hostile ideology. My master's thesis examines how hegemonic masculinity, misogyny & hate present themselves online. While the theoretical part of the thesis aims to analyse the aesthetics of the manosphere, the practical part is intended to show the radicalization process in the form of a film. The goal is to enable direct communication with the target group of the manosphere.
